PIB Cling Tackifier Masterbatch For Stretch Film

The PIB tackifier masterbatch is a tackifier masterbatch that uses polyethylene as a carrier and contains about 60% of high molecular weight polyisobutylene (PIB). It is in the form of dry granules that are easy to flow and disperse. It is mainly used to produce various polyolefin self-adhesive films. It has good overlap adhesion and peeling adhesion. The product quality is stable and the use effect is good. It can be used for food packaging.

PIB masterbatch is suitable for both blow molding and tape casting. The resin used with PIB masterbatch cannot contain any slip or opening agents, nor can its density exceed 0.923, as this will affect the normal precipitation of the tackifier. The precipitation time required to obtain good thickening properties is 24 to 72 hours.

When making stretch film for pallet packaging, for single-layer blown films, 3% (weight ratio) of PIB needs to be added to LLDPE (or mixed resin). For single-layer cast films, 1% to 2% PIB needs to be added. In multi-layer film production lines, PIB is usually only added to the surface layer, and the amount added is related to the layer used and its thickness.

After the pib tackifier masterbatch and polyethylene are blended and extruded into a film, the polybutene will gradually move to the film surface in 1 to 5 days, causing adhesion to the film surface. It is an ideal product to replace glue.
