White masterbatch is mainly a colored product made of titanium dioxide + carrier resin + additives. Colorant content accounts for 20%-80%.
The types of titanium dioxide used in white masterbatch include rutile and anatase titanium dioxide. The crystal structure of rutile titanium dioxide is rhombus, with a higher refractive index and higher tinting power. In terms of the "hue" of white light, due to the relatively low reflectivity of rutile titanium dioxide in the purple region, rutile titanium dioxide has a "yellowish" hue. Anatase titanium dioxide has a relatively pure white color due to its relatively high reflectivity in the violet-ultraviolet region.
Resin is mainly used as a carrier. In order to improve the compatibility of colorants, the same kind of plastic resin is usually used.
Additives mainly give products special functions, such as: flame retardant, anti-UV, anti-oxidation, high temperature resistance, etc.
From the carrier resin, white masterbatch can be divided into: PE white masterbatch, PP white masterbatch, ABS white masterbatch, PA white masterbatch, PC white masterbatch...
From the application process, white masterbatch can be divided into: injection molding white masterbatch, extrusion white masterbatch, blown film white masterbatch...
