TPU color masterbatch is a color masterbatch produced by using TPU material as a carrier. It is used for TPU products for injection molding and extrusion without reducing the mechanical strength of TPU products. So what is the carrier color masterbatch of TPU material?
TPU materials are usually injected with TPU carrier color masterbatch or non-carrier color masterbatch, or PE carrier color masterbatch. The requirements are slightly higher, and foreign imports are usually selected.
If it is difficult to dye flame-retardant TPU, it is recommended to use flame-retardant TPU as the carrier of the masterbatch. In extruded cables, parallel dark stripes may be encountered where the colorant is not dispersed. Therefore, the use of colorants for flame retardant elastomers is not recommended. It is recommended to directly customize the required color or masterbatch.
1) Normally, please only use color masterbatch or custom-made;
2) Pay attention to the storage of toner and masterbatch. Whether there is moisture absorption after use, if so; it should be dried.
3) PVC masterbatch and TPU carrier cannot be used for TPE/TPR/TPV;
4) When used in soft TPE/TPR, attention should be paid to the migration of colorants. TPV (PP/EPDM substrate) has good migration effect;
5) For TPE or TPV (EPDM/PP) with high hardness SEBS, because it requires high processing temperature, the toner should have high temperature resistance;
6) The standards of environmental protection and related laws and regulations should be clarified, and no harmful substances can be added due to coloring agents or substances prohibited by laws and regulations.
